Hermann's tortoise care
A grazing tortoise that wants outdoor sun whenever the weather allows.
Habitat
A secure outdoor pen with sun and shade is ideal in mild weather. Indoors, provide UVB and a basking zone near 32°C, with a cooler retreat.
Diet
Weeds, flowers, and leafy greens daily. Fruit is a rare treat. A cuttlebone covers extra calcium. Water is always available.
Hibernation
Only healthy adults, and only if you already know the species' hibernation routine. When in doubt, ask a reptile vet before the first winter.
